Health, it’s a precious commodity in this world of increasing disease and ill-health

Health isn’t just about what we eat and drink, it’s a whole lifestyle choice of not only what we consume but how we live our life, how we relax or even if we relax at all. It’s about how we look at life, do we just see the negative or do we try and stay positive. It’s how we move and it’s about how we feed our mind as well as our body.

Our body and our mind are both crying out, they are being overwhelmed by the man-made chemicals and toxins as well as the stress, pressure and negative media it encounters each and every day. Our lifestyles are a million miles away from what our body and mind are designed to cope with. We NEED to change our lifestyles and diets if we want to live not just a long life, but an active, pain-free and happy life for as long as possible, well into our old age.

This is what drives me! I’ve seen the effects of changing diet and lifestyle, I’ve seen the effects because those results were my own results. Making those changes reversed my Type 2 Diabetes, fixed my high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Those changes also helped me lose 95lbs and feel great! YOU can do the same, YOU can make changes and feel great. There is no need to feel lifeless, bloated or crappy. I truly want to help you to feel great, to have loads of energy without those horrible energy drinks. I want to be with you on that journey! It’s not going to be easy, it can be a tough road, but believe me, the destination is so so worth the work.

Look at your typical meal, how much colour is on your plate? How vibrant are those colours? And how many colours of the rainbow are there in that meal? Think about the fresh produce section of your local supermarket, green grocers or outdoor market, how beautiful does it look with the whole range of colours and fresh produce with amazing tastes. How much of that do you see on your plate? And this is the problem, our diets are letting our body down. If our body was a car, it would be in the garage for a complete overhaul! Fresh, whole foods with a full spectrum of colours and filled with wonderful nutrients are one of the keys to keeping us healthy. Changing our diet and lifestyle really can create miracles!

Just like Martin Luther King, I have a dream. I dream of a world where good health is the norm, not the exception. I dream of a world where doctors and hospitals are used only for emergencies and serious illness, not as an everyday thing, and I dream of a world where children will outlive their parents rather than parents outliving their children, a sad position we find ourselves in now.

Hi, I’m Darren and in 2012 I took control of my own weight and health and totally changed my life. I reversed Type 2 Diabetes, eliminated high cholesterol and high blood pressure as well as losing 95lbs in weight. I felt great and was inspired to help others feel great too. This lead me to train as a health coach so I could bring my experience and passion to others. I wanted to contribute to the ripple effect that others in this field are creating.

I truly believe that is the right of every person on earth to have good health and to be able to look forward to a long, active and happy life. I spent a year studying, graduated in February 2015 and I’m still learning new things even now, so I can serve my clients as best as I possible can. I’m passionate about helping others, passionate about improving health and passionate about helping people to be happy, vibrant and healthy.

We live such busy lives in a busy world, it’s all too easy to forget to take care of ourselves, instead, thinking we’re like the Duracell bunny and keep going on and on and on. But we can’t, we need to take time out for us, and that means in all aspects of your lifestyle from ensuring you eat a healthy diet to making sure you get time to relax, recharge and enjoy life.

We invest in our car, we invest in our home, we invest in our possessions, but when was the last time you truly invested in your own health? Investment doesn’t have to be in just monetary terms, but in time, energy and emotional terms too. We are ALL worthy of that investment, indeed, it’s a necessity  rather than a luxury.
